All of my friends are fawning over either Fennekin or Chespin. (mostly Fennekin) All this insanity over these two lesser types is driving me crazy. It makes me sick. As a water loyalist, I will endure, and choose Froakie despite its apparent ugliness.
If you're going to choose Froakie too, please comment! ^^

I actually like Froakie. He's a water type. Plus he's a frog. Considering how much I like the Poliwag line. I can't say no to that thing. And Besides. Every generation besides Ruby and Sapphire. I always pick the Water type. Since many of my favorite Pokemon are either Flying or Water.

I'm planning on getting both games and choosing Fennekin for Pokemon Y for my female character and Froakie for Pokemon X for my male character. I honestly thing Froakie is pretty cute. Sorry Chespin, but you're not as cute to me.

Not offended. I'm picking Fennekin, but usually I HATE everything thats popular; I'm choosing it because I've been waiting for a fox starter since Red, Blue, and Yellow version. Foxes are my favorite animals in the UNIVERSE, but usually I go for the underdog. :/ So I'd probably choose whoever is getting the most hate if it weren't my true favorie.

I usually pick the grass starter to compensate for my frequent usage of slow pokemon (Spiritomb, Dusknoir, Banette etc) or those with low defense (Banette, Chandelure, Eelektross etc) but Another reason is I favor those starters which are reptilian or Amphibious but I guess I'll just pick Froakie then coz he is WAY better looking than chespin

Since I reptiles and amphibians are my favourite types of animals. As soon as heard about lil Froakie it was love at first sight (metaphorically of course). Froakie FTW!!!
